²⁸ However, there is a ^(A)God in heaven who reveals secrets, and He has made known to King Nebuchadnezzar what will take place in the ^[a](B)latter days. This was your dream and the ^(C)visions ^[b]in your mind while on your bed.

^18 (A)No one has seen God at any time; ^(B)God the only Son, who is ^(C)in the ^[a]arms of the Father, ^(D)He has ^[b]explained Him.

²⁶ For ^[a]consider your ^(A)calling, brothers and sisters, that there were ^(B)not many wise according to ^[b]the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble; ²⁷ but ^(C)God has chosen the foolish things of ^(D)the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of ^(E)the world to shame the things which are strong, ²⁸ and the ^[c]insignificant things of ^(F)the world and the despised God has chosen, ^(G)the things that are not, so that He may ^(H)nullify the things that are, ²⁹ so that ^(I)no ^[d]human may boast before God.

^10 (A)As to this salvation, the prophets who ^(B)prophesied of the ^(C)grace that would come to you made careful searches and inquiries, ^11 [a]seeking to know what person or time ^(D)the Spirit of Christ within them was indicating as He ^(E)predicted the sufferings of Christ and the glories ^[b]to follow. ¹² It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves, but you, in these things which now have been announced to you through those who ^(F)preached the gospel to you by ^(G)the Holy Spirit sent from heaven—things into which ^(H)angels long to ^[c]look.
