¹⁸ Afterward he shall turn to the coastlands and shall capture many, but a commander shall put an end to his insolence; indeed,^[a] he shall turn his insolence back upon him.^(A)

² For the judgment you give will be the judgment you get, and the measure you give will be the measure you get.

¹⁹ and I will set a sign among them. From them I will send survivors to the nations, to Tarshish, Put,^[a] and Lud, to Meshech,^[b] Tubal, and Javan, to the coastlands far away that have not heard of my fame or seen my glory, and they shall declare my glory among the nations.^(A)

⁷ Adoni-bezek said, “Seventy kings with their thumbs and big toes cut off used to pick up scraps under my table; as I have done, so God has paid me back.” They brought him to Jerusalem, and he died there.

⁴ The descendants of Javan: Elishah, Tarshish, Kittim, and Rodanim.^{[a] 5} From these the coastland peoples spread. These are the descendants of Japheth^[b] in their lands, with their own language, by their families, in their nations.^(A)
