¹⁶ The invader will do as he pleases;^(A) no one will be able to stand against him.^(B) He will establish himself in the Beautiful Land and will have the power to destroy it.^(C)

⁴¹ He will also invade the Beautiful Land.^(A) Many countries will fall, but Edom,^(B) Moab^(C) and the leaders of Ammon will be delivered from his hand.

⁴⁵ He will pitch his royal tents between the seas at^[a] the beautiful holy mountain.^(A) Yet he will come to his end, and no one will help him.
