Colossians 3:5-9

⁵ Therefore, put to death what belongs to your worldly nature:^[a] sexual immorality, impurity,^(A) lust,^(B) evil desire, and greed,^(C) which is idolatry.^{(D) 6} Because of these, God’s wrath^(E) comes on the disobedient,^{[b] 7} and you once walked in these things when you were living^(F) in them. ⁸ But now you must also put away^(G) all the following: anger,^(H) wrath,^(I) malice,^(J) slander,^(K) and filthy language from your mouth.^{(L) 9} Do not lie^(M) to one another, since you have put off^(N) the old self^[c](O) with its practices
