⁴³ But the centurion, wanting to save Paul, kept them from their purpose, and commanded that those who could swim should jump overboard first and get to land,

³ And the next day we landed at Sidon. And Julius ^(A)treated Paul kindly and gave him liberty to go to his friends and receive care.

²⁵ Three times I was ^(A)beaten with rods; ^(B)once I was stoned; three times I ^(C)was shipwrecked; a night and a day I have been in the deep;

¹¹ Nevertheless the centurion was more persuaded by the helmsman and the owner of the ship than by the things spoken by Paul.

²⁴ and provide mounts to set Paul on, and bring him safely to Felix the governor.”

¹⁰ Now when there arose a great dissension, the commander, fearing lest Paul might be pulled to pieces by them, commanded the soldiers to go down and take him by force from among them, and bring him into the barracks.

³¹ Paul said to the centurion and the soldiers, “Unless these men stay in the ship, you cannot be saved.”
