⁶ And when they opposed and reviled him, ^(A)he shook out his garments and said to them, ^(B)“Your blood be on your own heads! ^(C)I am innocent. ^(D)From now on I will go to the Gentiles.”

⁴ then if anyone who hears the sound of the trumpet does not take warning, and the sword comes and takes him away, ^(A)his blood shall be upon his own head.

^8 (A)If I say to the wicked, O wicked one, you shall surely die, ^(B)and you do not speak to warn the wicked to turn from his way, ^(C)that wicked person shall die in his iniquity, but his blood I will require at your hand. ^9 (D)But if you warn the wicked to turn from his way, and he does not turn from his way, ^(E)that person shall die in his iniquity, ^(F)but you will have delivered your soul.

¹⁶ And David said to him, ^(A)“Your blood be on your head, for your own mouth has testified against you, saying, ‘I have killed ^(B)the Lord's anointed.’”

^13 (A)lends at interest, and takes profit; shall he then live? He shall not live. He has done all these abominations; he shall surely die; ^(B)his blood shall be upon himself.

⁵¹ But they ^(A)shook off the dust from their feet against them and went to Iconium.

^13 (A)I also shook out the fold^[a] of my garment and said, “So may God shake out every man from his house and from his labor who does not keep this promise. So may he be shaken out and emptied.” ^(B)And all the assembly said “Amen” and praised the Lord. And the people did as they had promised.

⁴ With respect to this they are surprised when you do not join them in the same flood of ^(A)debauchery, and ^(B)they malign you;

^14 (A)If you are insulted ^(B)for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory^[a] and of God rests upon you.
