³ explaining and demonstrating ^(A)that the Christ had to suffer and rise again from the dead, and saying, “This Jesus whom I preach to you is the Christ.”

²⁸ for he vigorously refuted the Jews publicly, ^(A)showing from the Scriptures that Jesus is the Christ.

²² But Saul increased all the more in strength, ^(A)and confounded the Jews who dwelt in Damascus, proving that this Jesus is the Christ.

³² And they said to one another, “Did not our heart burn within us while He talked with us on the road, and while He opened the Scriptures to us?”

¹⁸ But ^(A)those things which God foretold ^(B)by the mouth of all His prophets, that the Christ would suffer, He has thus fulfilled.

⁴⁶ Then He said to them, ^(A)“Thus it is written, ^[a]and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day,

3 O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you ^[a]that you should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed ^[b]among you as crucified?

³ For ^(A)I delivered to you first of all that ^(B)which I also received: that Christ died for our sins ^(C)according to the Scriptures, ⁴ and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day ^(D)according to the Scriptures,

²⁶ “Men and brethren, sons of the ^[a]family of Abraham, and ^(A)those among you who fear God, ^(B)to you the ^[b]word of this salvation has been sent. ²⁷ For those who dwell in Jerusalem, and their rulers, ^(C)because they did not know Him, nor even the voices of the Prophets which are read every Sabbath, have fulfilled them in condemning Him. ^28 (D)And though they found no cause for death in Him, they asked Pilate that He should be put to death. ^29 (E)Now when they had fulfilled all that was written concerning Him, ^(F)they took Him down from the tree and laid Him in a tomb. ^30 (G)But God raised Him from the dead. ^31 (H)He was seen for many days by those who came up with Him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who are His witnesses to the people. ³² And we declare to you glad tidings—^(I)that promise which was made to the fathers. ³³ God has fulfilled this for us their children, in that He has raised up Jesus.
