²⁴ The God who made the world and everything in it, he who is Lord of heaven and earth, does not live in shrines made by human hands,^(A)

²⁷ “But will God indeed dwell on the earth? Even heaven and the highest heaven cannot contain you, much less this house that I have built!^(A)

¹⁴ Although heaven and the heaven of heavens belong to the Lord your God, the earth with all that is in it,^(A)

⁴⁸ Yet the Most High does not dwell in houses made with human hands;^[a] as the prophet says,^(A)

²⁵ At that time Jesus said, “I thank^[a] you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and the intelligent and have revealed them to infants;^(A)

¹⁸ “But will God indeed dwell with mortals on earth? Even heaven and the highest heaven cannot contain you, much less this house that I have built!^(A)

⁶ But who is able to build him a house, since heaven, even highest heaven, cannot contain him? Who am I to build a house for him except as a place to make offerings before him?^(A)

²² You^[a] worship what you^[b] do not know; we worship what we know, for salvation is from the Jews.^{(A) 23} But the hour is coming and is now here when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father seeks such as these to worship him.^(B)
