²² strengthening the souls of ^(A)the disciples, encouraging them to continue in ^(B)the faith, and saying, “^(C)It is through many tribulations that we must enter the kingdom of God.”

⁸ You are ^(A)already filled, you have already become rich, you have become kings without us; and indeed, I wish that you had become kings so that we also might reign with you!

The Incomparable Christ

^13 [a]For He rescued us from the ^[b](A)domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of ^[c](B)His beloved Son,

¹¹ and also Jesus who is called Justus; these are the only ^(A)fellow workers for the kingdom of God ^(B)who are from the circumcision, and they have proved to be an encouragement to me.

¹² so that you would ^(A)walk in a manner worthy of the God who ^(B)calls you into His own kingdom and ^(C)glory.

⁵ This is ^[a]a ^(A)plain indication of God’s righteous judgment so that you will be ^(B)considered worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you indeed are suffering.

²⁸ Therefore, since we receive a ^(A)kingdom which cannot be shaken, let’s ^[a]show gratitude, by which we may ^(B)offer to God an acceptable service with reverence and awe;

⁵ Listen, ^(A)my beloved brothers and sisters: did ^(B)God not choose the poor ^[a]of this world to be ^(C)rich in faith and ^(D)heirs of the kingdom which He ^(E)promised to those who love Him?

⁹ But you are ^(A)a chosen people, a royal ^(B)priesthood, a ^(C)holy nation, ^(D)a people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you ^(E)out of darkness into His marvelous light;
