⁴⁸ Now when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad and glorified the word of the Lord. ^(A)And as many as had been appointed to eternal life believed.

²⁹ For whom ^(A)He foreknew, ^(B)He also predestined ^(C)to be conformed to the image of His Son, ^(D)that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. ³⁰ Moreover whom He predestined, these He also ^(E)called; whom He called, these He also ^(F)justified; and whom He justified, these He also ^(G)glorified.

⁹ and ^(A)that the Gentiles might glorify God for His mercy, as it is written:

¹² And again, Isaiah says:

⁷ What then? ^(A)Israel has not obtained what it seeks; but the elect have obtained it, and the rest were ^(B)blinded.

⁵² and ^(A)not for that nation only, but ^(B)also that He would gather together in one the children of God who were scattered abroad.

¹⁶ And ^(A)other sheep I have which are not of this fold; them also I must bring, and they will hear My voice; ^(B)and there will be one flock and one shepherd.

Stand Fast

¹³ But we are ^[a]bound to give thanks to God always for you, brethren beloved by the Lord, because God ^(A)from the beginning ^(B)chose you for salvation ^(C)through ^[b]sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth, ¹⁴ to which He called you by our gospel, for ^(D)the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

^5 (A)even when we were dead in trespasses, ^(B)made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), ⁶ and raised us up together, and made us sit together ^(C)in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, ⁷ that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in ^(D)His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. ^8 (E)For by grace you have been saved ^(F)through faith, and that not of yourselves; ^(G)it is the gift of God, ⁹ not of ^(H)works, lest anyone should ^(I)boast. ¹⁰ For we are ^(J)His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

⁴ just as ^(A)He chose us in Him ^(B)before the foundation of the world, that we should ^(C)be holy and without blame before Him in love,
