³⁰ So Cornelius said, ^[a]“Four days ago I was fasting until this hour; and at the ninth hour I prayed in my house, and behold, ^(A)a man stood before me ^(B)in bright clothing,

³ About ^[a]the ninth hour of the day ^(A)he saw clearly in a vision an angel of God coming in and saying to him, “Cornelius!”

²³ Then he invited them in and lodged them.

On the next day Peter went away with them, ^(A)and some brethren from Joppa accompanied him.

Peter Meets Cornelius

²⁴ And the following day they entered Caesarea. Now Cornelius was waiting for them, and had called together his relatives and close friends.

¹⁰ And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them ^(A)in white apparel,

⁷ And when the angel who spoke to him had departed, Cornelius called two of his household servants and a devout soldier from among those who waited on him continually. ⁸ So when he had explained all these things to them, he sent them to Joppa.

Peter’s Vision

⁹ The next day, as they went on their journey and drew near the city, ^(A)Peter went up on the housetop to pray, about ^[a]the sixth hour.

A Lame Man Healed

3 Now Peter and John went up together ^(A)to the temple at the hour of prayer, ^(B)the ninth hour.

⁴ And it happened, as they were ^[a]greatly perplexed about this, that ^(A)behold, two men stood by them in shining garments.

^6 (A)But he said to them, “Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He is risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid Him.

^3 (A)His countenance was like lightning, and his clothing as white as snow.

The Seventy-Weeks Prophecy

²⁰ Now while I was speaking, praying, and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my supplication before the Lord my God for the holy mountain of my God, ²¹ yes, while I was speaking in prayer, the man ^(A)Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, ^[a]being caused to fly swiftly, reached me about the time of the evening offering.
