⁹ When he had said this, as they were watching, he was lifted up, and a cloud took him out of their sight.^(A)

⁵⁰ Then he led them out as far as Bethany, and, lifting up his hands, he blessed them.^{(A) 51} While he was blessing them, he withdrew from them and was carried up into heaven.^[a](B)

¹⁹ So then the Lord Jesus, after he had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God.

² until the day when he was taken up to heaven, after giving instructions through the Holy Spirit to the apostles whom he had chosen.^(A)

⁹ Then the Lord said to Moses, “I am going to come to you in a dense cloud, in order that the people may hear when I speak with you and so trust you ever after.”

The People Consecrated

When Moses had told the words of the people to the Lord,^(A)

¹² Then they^[a] heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, “Come up here!” And they went up to heaven in a cloud while their enemies watched them.^(A)

⁸ Therefore it is said,

⁹ (When it says, “He ascended,” what does it mean but that he had also descended^[b] into the lower parts of the earth?^{[c] 10} He who descended is the same one who ascended far above all the heavens, so that he might fill all things.) ¹¹ He himself granted that some are apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers^{(B) 12} to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ,^(C)

⁶² Then what if you were to see the Son of Man ascending to where he was before?^(A)
