26 The kings of the earth took their stand,
And the rulers were gathered together
Against the Lord and against His Christ.’

27 “For (A)truly against (B)Your holy Servant Jesus, (C)whom You anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the people of Israel, were gathered together 28 (D)to do whatever Your hand and Your purpose determined before to be done.

26 The kings of the earth rise up
    and the rulers band together
against the Lord
    and against his anointed one.[a]’[b](A)

27 Indeed Herod(B) and Pontius Pilate(C) met together with the Gentiles and the people of Israel in this city to conspire against your holy servant Jesus,(D) whom you anointed. 28 They did what your power and will had decided beforehand should happen.(E)
