³⁸ Therefore let it be known to you, ^[a]brothers, that ^(A)through ^[b]Him forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you, ³⁹ and ^[c]through Him ^(B)everyone who believes is ^[d]freed ^[e]from all things, from which you could not be ^[f]freed ^[g]through the Law of Moses.

¹³ And ^[a]when you were ^(A)dead ^[b]in your wrongdoings and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He ^(B)made you alive together with Him, having forgiven us all our wrongdoings, ¹⁴ having canceled ^(C)the certificate of debt consisting of decrees against us, which was hostile to us; and ^(D)He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. ¹⁵ When He had ^[c](E)disarmed the ^(F)rulers and authorities, He ^(G)made a public display of them, having ^(H)triumphed over them through ^[d]Him.
