Cornelius’s Vision

10 There was a man in Caesarea named Cornelius, a centurion of what was called the Italian Regiment.^(A)

²⁴ The following day he entered Caesarea. Now Cornelius was expecting them and had called together his relatives and close friends.

¹⁹ After Herod had searched and did not find him, he interrogated the guards and ordered their execution. Then Herod went down from Judea to Caesarea and stayed there.^(A)

⁸ The next day we left and came to Caesarea, where we entered the house of Philip^(A) the evangelist,^(B) who was one of the Seven, and stayed with him.

¹⁶ Some of the disciples from Caesarea also went with us and brought us to Mnason of Cyprus, an early disciple, with whom we were to stay.^(A)

To Caesarea by Night

²³ He summoned two of his centurions and said, “Get two hundred soldiers ready with seventy cavalry and two hundred spearmen to go to Caesarea at nine tonight.^[a](A)

³³ When these men entered Caesarea and delivered the letter to the governor, they also presented Paul to him.^(A)

Appeal to Caesar

25 Three days after Festus arrived in the province, he went up to Jerusalem from Caesarea.^(A)

⁴ Festus, however, answered that Paul should be kept at Caesarea, and that he himself was about to go there shortly.^(A)

⁶ When he had spent not more than eight or ten days among them, he went down to Caesarea. The next day, seated at the tribunal, he commanded Paul to be brought in.^(A)
