Acts 1:3-5

³To ^[a]these ^(A)He also presented Himself alive after His suffering, by many convincing proofs, appearing to them over a period of forty days and speaking of ^(B)things regarding the kingdom of God. ⁴^[b]Gathering them together, He commanded them ^(C)not to leave Jerusalem, but to wait for ^[c]^(D)what the Father had promised, “Which,” He said, “you heard of from Me; ⁵for ^(E)John baptized ^[d]with water, but you will be baptized ^[e]with the Holy Spirit ^[f]^(F)not many days from now.”

³After his suffering, he presented himself to them and gave many convincing proofs that he was alive. He appeared to them^(A) over a period of forty days and spoke about the kingdom of God.^(B) ⁴On one occasion, while he was eating with them, he gave them this command: “Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait^(C) for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about.^(D) ⁵For John baptized with^[a] water,^(E) but in a few days you will be baptized with^[b] the Holy Spirit.”^(F)
