^3 (A)heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, ^(B)not loving good,

³¹ foolish, faithless, heartless, ruthless.

^11 (A)Their wives likewise^[a] must be dignified, not slanderers, but sober-minded, ^(B)faithful in all things.

¹⁸ They^[a] said to you, ^(A)“In the last time there will be scoffers, following their own ungodly passions.”

⁶ And I saw the woman, drunk ^(A)with the blood of the saints, the blood of ^(B)the martyrs of Jesus.^[a]

When I saw her, I marveled greatly.

¹⁷ so that no one can buy or sell unless he has the mark, that is, ^(A)the name of the beast or ^(B)the number of its name.

¹⁵ And it was allowed to give breath to the image of the beast, so that the image of the beast might even speak and might cause those who would not ^(A)worship the image of the beast ^(B)to be slain.

¹⁶ These are grumblers, malcontents, ^(A)following their own sinful desires; ^(B)they are loud-mouthed boasters, ^(C)showing favoritism to gain advantage.

³ knowing this first of all, that scoffers will come ^(A)in the last days with scoffing, ^(B)following their own sinful desires.
