⁷ For you yourselves know how you ought to follow us, for we were not disorderly among you;

Warning Against Idleness

⁶ But we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, ^(A)that you withdraw ^(B)from every brother who walks ^(C)disorderly and not according to the tradition which ^[a]he received from us.

⁹ not because we do not have ^(A)authority, but to make ourselves an example of how you should follow us.

⁶ And ^(A)you became followers of us and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, ^(B)with joy of the Holy Spirit, ⁷ so that you became examples to all in Macedonia and Achaia who believe.

³ nor as ^(A)being ^[a]lords over ^(B)those entrusted to you, but ^(C)being examples to the flock;

Take Heed to Your Ministry

¹² Let no one ^[a]despise your youth, but be an ^(A)example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, ^[b]in spirit, in faith, in purity.
