Christ the Power and Wisdom of God^(A)

¹⁸ For the ^[a]message of the cross is ^(B)foolishness to ^(C)those who are perishing, but to us ^(D)who are being saved it is the ^(E)power of God.

² But we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness nor ^[a]handling the word of God deceitfully, but by manifestation of the truth ^(A)commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God. ³ But even if our gospel is veiled, ^(B)it is veiled to those who are perishing,

²² If anyone ^(A)does not love the Lord Jesus Christ, ^(B)let him be ^[a]accursed. ^(C)O^[b] Lord, come!

¹⁸ For those who are such do not serve our Lord ^[a]Jesus Christ, but ^(A)their own belly, and ^(B)by smooth words and flattering speech deceive the hearts of the simple.

⁴⁵ But because I tell the truth, you do not believe Me. ⁴⁶ Which of you convicts Me of sin? And if I tell the truth, why do you not believe Me? ^47 (A)He who is of God hears God’s words; therefore you do not hear, because you are not of God.”

¹² But these, ^(A)like natural brute beasts made to be caught and destroyed, speak evil of the things they do not understand, and will utterly perish in their own corruption,

^4 (A)who desires all men to be saved ^(B)and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
