⁷ and to grant ^(A)relief to you who are afflicted as well as to us, when ^(B)the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven ^(C)with his mighty angels

¹³ And I heard a voice from heaven saying, “Write this: ^(A)Blessed are the dead ^(B)who die in the Lord from now on.” “Blessed indeed,” says the Spirit, ^(C)“that they may rest from their labors, for their deeds follow them!”

^16 (A)“I, Jesus, have sent my angel to testify to you about these things ^(B)for the churches. I am ^(C)the root and ^(D)the descendant of David, ^(E)the bright morning star.”

^27 (A)For the Son of Man is going to come with ^(B)his angels in the glory of his Father, and ^(C)then he will repay each person according to what he has done.

^4 (A)He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and ^(B)death shall be no more, ^(C)neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”

¹⁴ It was also about these that Enoch, ^(A)the seventh from Adam, prophesied, saying, ^(B)“Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of his holy ones, ^15 (C)to execute judgment on all and to convict all the ungodly of all their deeds of ungodliness that they have ^(D)committed in such an ungodly way, and of all ^(E)the harsh things that ungodly sinners have spoken against him.”

4 Therefore, while the promise of entering his rest still stands, let us fear lest any of you should seem ^(A)to have failed to reach it.

¹⁷ and if children, then ^(A)heirs—heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, ^(B)provided we suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him.

³⁹ and the enemy who sowed them is the devil. ^(A)The harvest is ^(B)the end of the age, and the reapers are angels. ⁴⁰ Just as the weeds ^(C)are gathered and burned with fire, so will it be at ^(D)the end of the age. ^41 (E)The Son of Man will send his angels, and they will gather out of his kingdom all ^(F)causes of sin and ^(G)all law-breakers, ^42 (H)and throw them into the fiery furnace. In that place ^(I)there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. ⁴³ Then ^(J)the righteous will shine like the sun ^(K)in the kingdom of their Father. ^(L)He who has ears, let him hear.
