12 And when thy yamim be fulfilled, and thou shalt sleep with thy Avot, I will raise up thy Zera after thee, which shall proceed out of thy loins, and I will establish his Mamlachah (Kingdom).
13 He shall build a Bais for My Shem, and I will establish the kisse (throne) of his Mamlachah ad olam.
14 I will be his Av, and he shall be My Ben [HaElohim]. If he commit iniquity, I will chasten him with the shevet anashim, and with the floggings of bnei adam;
15 But My chesed shall not be taken away from him, as I took it from Sha’ul, whom I removed from before thee.
16 And thine Bais and thy Mamlachah shall be established ad olam before thee; thy kisse (throne) shall be established ad olam (forever) [See Ps 89:36-39]).

12 When your days come to an end and you sleep with your ancestors, I will establish one of your descendants to succeed you, one of your own flesh and blood; and I will set up his rulership. 13 He will build a house for my name, and I will establish his royal throne forever. 14 I will be a father for him, and he will be a son for me. If he does something wrong, I will punish him with a rod and blows, just as everyone gets punished; 15 nevertheless, my grace will not leave him, as I took it away from Sha’ul, whom I removed from before you. 16 Thus your house and your kingdom will be made secure forever before you; your throne will be set up forever.’”

12 Als jouw tijd voorbij is en je gestorven bent, zal Ik jouw eigen zoon koning maken. En Ik zal met hem zijn. 13 En híj zal voor Mij een huis bouwen. En Ik zal ervoor zorgen dat altijd één van zijn zonen koning zal zijn. 14 Ik zal zijn Vader zijn en hij zal mijn zoon zijn. Als hij slechte dingen doet, zal Ik andere mensen gebruiken om hem ook als een vader te bestraffen. 15 Maar Ik zal hem nooit verlaten, zoals Ik Saul heb verlaten. Saul heb Ik vervangen door jou. 16 Jouw familie en jouw koningschap zullen altijd blijven bestaan. Altijd zal één van jouw zonen koning zijn."

12 Want wanneer u sterft, zal Ik een van uw eigen zonen op uw troon zetten en Ik zal zijn koninkrijk sterk maken. 13 Hij is degene die een tempel voor Mij zal bouwen. Het zal een huis zijn waaraan Ik mijn naam verbind. En zijn koninkrijk zal Ik tot in eeuwigheid laten voortduren. 14 Ik zal zijn vader zijn en hij zal mijn zoon zijn. Als hij zondigt, zal Ik andere volken gebruiken om hem te straffen, 15 maar Ik zal mijn liefde en vriendschap niet van hem terugtrekken zoals Ik dat bij uw voorganger Saul deed. 16 Uw familie zal voor eeuwig dit koninkrijk regeren. Uw troon zal niet wankelen.” ’
