⁸ For the whole house of Ahab shall perish, ^(A)and I will cut off from Ahab ^(B)every male, ^(C)bond or free, in Israel.

^22 (A)God do so to the enemies of David^[a] and more also, if by morning I leave so much as one male of all who belong to him.”

²⁶ For the Lord ^(A)saw that the affliction of Israel was very bitter, ^(B)for there was none left, bond or free, and there was none to help Israel.

¹⁷ And when he came to Samaria, ^(A)he struck down all who remained to Ahab in Samaria, till he had wiped them out, according to the word of the Lord ^(B)that he spoke to Elijah.

²¹ Behold, I will bring disaster upon you. I will utterly burn you up, and ^(A)will cut off from Ahab every male, bond or free, in Israel. ²² And I will make your house like ^(B)the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and like ^(C)the house of Baasha the son of Ahijah, for the anger to which you have provoked me, and because you ^(D)have made Israel to sin.

¹⁰ therefore behold, I will bring harm upon the house of Jeroboam and ^(A)will cut off from Jeroboam every male, ^(B)both bond and free in Israel, and ^(C)will burn up the house of Jeroboam, as a man burns up dung until it is all gone. ^11 (D)Anyone belonging to Jeroboam who dies in the city the dogs shall eat, and anyone who dies in the open country the birds of the heavens shall eat, for the Lord has spoken it.”’
