²⁶ Then he said to him, “Did not my heart go with you when the man turned back from his chariot to meet you? Is it ^(A)time to receive money and to receive clothing, olive groves and vineyards, sheep and oxen, male and female servants?

⁵ For ^(A)though I am absent in the flesh, yet I am with you in spirit, rejoicing ^[a]to see ^(B)your good order and the ^(C)steadfastness of your faith in Christ.

^3 (A)For I indeed, as absent in body but present in spirit, have already judged (as though I were present) him who has so done this deed.

¹² And one of his servants said, “None, my lord, O king; but Elisha, the prophet who is in Israel, tells the king of Israel the words that you speak in your bedroom.”

^11 (A)If we have sown spiritual things for you, is it a great thing if we reap your material things? ¹² If others are partakers of this right over you, are we not even more?

^(B)Nevertheless we have not used this right, but endure all things ^(C)lest we hinder the gospel of Christ.

³⁵ I have shown you in every way, ^(A)by laboring like this, that you must support the weak. And remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ ”

⁸ Heal the sick, ^[a]cleanse the lepers, ^[b]raise the dead, cast out demons. ^(A)Freely you have received, freely give.
