² Then he turned his face toward the wall, and prayed to the Lord, saying,

⁶ But you, when you pray, ^(A)go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you ^[a]openly.

² Then Hezekiah turned his face toward the wall, and prayed to the Lord, ³ and said, ^(A)“Remember now, O Lord, I pray, how I have walked before You in truth and with a ^[a]loyal heart, and have done what is good in Your ^(B)sight.” And Hezekiah wept bitterly.

^30 (A)And may You hear the supplication of Your servant and of Your people Israel, when they pray toward this place. Hear in heaven Your dwelling place; and when You hear, forgive.
