³¹ “Do not listen to Hezekiah. This is what the king of Assyria says: Make peace with me and come out to me. Then each of you will eat fruit from your own vine and fig tree^(A) and drink water from your own cistern,^(B)

²⁵ During Solomon’s lifetime Judah and Israel, from Dan to Beersheba,^(A) lived in safety,^(B) everyone under their own vine and under their own fig tree.^(C)

¹⁰ “‘In that day each of you will invite your neighbor to sit^(A) under your vine and fig tree,^(B)’ declares the Lord Almighty.”

Solomon’s Daily Provisions

²⁰ The people of Judah and Israel were as numerous as the sand^(A) on the seashore; they ate, they drank and they were happy.^(B)

¹¹ Please accept the present^(A) that was brought to you, for God has been gracious to me^(B) and I have all I need.”^(C) And because Jacob insisted,^(D) Esau accepted it.

²⁰ And be sure to say, ‘Your servant^(A) Jacob is coming behind us.’” For he thought, “I will pacify him with these gifts^(B) I am sending on ahead;^(C) later, when I see him, perhaps he will receive me.”^(D)
