2 Corinthians 9:6-13

The Cheerful Giver

⁶The point is this: ^(A)whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully^[a] will also reap bountifully. ⁷Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, ^(B)not reluctantly or under compulsion, for ^(C)God loves a cheerful giver. ⁸And ^(D)God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency^[b] in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work. ⁹As it is written,

^(E)“He has distributed freely, he has given to the poor;
his righteousness endures forever.”

¹⁰He who supplies ^(F)seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and ^(G)increase the harvest of your righteousness. ¹¹^(H)You will be enriched in every way to be generous in every way, which ^(I)through us will produce thanksgiving to God. ¹²For the ministry of this service is not only supplying ^(J)the needs of the saints but is also overflowing in many thanksgivings to God. ¹³By their approval of this service, ^(K)they^[c] will glorify God because of your submission that comes from your ^(L)confession of the gospel of Christ, and the generosity of your contribution for them and for all others,

The Cheerful Giver

⁶^(A)But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows ^[a]bountifully will also reap ^[b]bountifully. ⁷So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, ^(B)not grudgingly or of ^[c]necessity; for ^(C)God loves a cheerful giver. ⁸^(D)And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work. ⁹As it is written:

^(E)“He has dispersed abroad,
He has given to the poor;
His righteousness endures forever.”

¹⁰Now ^[d]may He who ^(F)supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, ^[e]supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your ^(G)righteousness, ¹¹while you are enriched in everything for all liberality, ^(H)which causes thanksgiving through us to God. ¹²For the administration of this service not only ^(I)supplies the needs of the saints, but also is abounding through many thanksgivings to God, ¹³while, through the proof of this ministry, they ^(J)glorify God for the obedience of your confession to the gospel of Christ, and for your liberal ^(K)sharing with them and all men,
