¹⁶So from now on we regard no one from a worldly^(A) point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer. ¹⁷Therefore, if anyone is in Christ,^(B) the new creation^(C) has come:^[a] The old has gone, the new is here!^(D)

²²I will declare your name to my people;
    in the assembly^(A) I will praise you.^(B)

    All you descendants of Jacob, honor him!^(D)
    Revere him,^(E) all you descendants of Israel!
²⁴For he has not despised^(F) or scorned
    the suffering of the afflicted one;^(G)
he has not hidden his face^(H) from him
    but has listened to his cry for help.^(I)

²⁵From you comes the theme of my praise in the great assembly;^(J)
    before those who fear you^[a] I will fulfill my vows.^(K)
²⁶The poor will eat^(L) and be satisfied;
    those who seek the Lord will praise him—^(M)
    may your hearts live forever!

²⁷All the ends of the earth^(N)
    will remember and turn to the Lord,
and all the families of the nations
    will bow down before him,^(O)
²⁸for dominion belongs to the Lord^(P)
    and he rules over the nations.

²⁹All the rich^(Q) of the earth will feast and worship;^(R)
    all who go down to the dust^(S) will kneel before him—
    those who cannot keep themselves alive.^(T)
³⁰Posterity^(U) will serve him;
    future generations^(V) will be told about the Lord.
³¹They will proclaim his righteousness,^(W)
    declaring to a people yet unborn:^(X)
    He has done it!^(Y)

¹The earth is the Lord’s,^(A) and everything in it,
the world, and all who live in it;^(B)
²for he founded it on the seas
and established it on the waters.^(C)

³Who may ascend the mountain^(D) of the Lord?
    Who may stand in his holy place?^(E)
⁴The one who has clean hands^(F) and a pure heart,^(G)
    who does not trust in an idol^(H)
    or swear by a false god.^[a]

⁵They will receive blessing^(I) from the Lord
and vindication^(J) from God their Savior.
⁶Such is the generation of those who seek him,
who seek your face,^(K) God of Jacob.^[b]^[c]

⁷Lift up your heads, you gates;^(L)
    be lifted up, you ancient doors,
    that the King^(M) of glory^(N) may come in.^(O)
⁸Who is this King of glory?
    The Lord strong and mighty,^(P)
    the Lord mighty in battle.^(Q)
⁹Lift up your heads, you gates;
    lift them up, you ancient doors,
    that the King of glory may come in.
¹⁰Who is he, this King of glory?
    The Lord Almighty^(R)—
    he is the King of glory.
