^16 (A)To the one we are the aroma of death leading to death, and to the other the aroma of life leading to life. And ^(B)who is sufficient for these things?

^5 (A)Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but ^(B)our sufficiency is from God, ⁶ who also made us sufficient as ^(C)ministers of ^(D)the new covenant, not ^(E)of the letter but of the ^[a]Spirit; for ^(F)the letter kills, ^(G)but the Spirit gives life.

⁷ Therefore, to you who believe, He is precious; but to those who ^[a]are disobedient,

⁸ and

^(C)They stumble, being disobedient to the word, ^(D)to which they also were appointed.

¹⁰ But ^(A)by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all, ^(B)yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

²⁶ Therefore I testify to you this day that I am ^(A)innocent^[a] of the blood of all men. ²⁷ For I have not ^[b]shunned to declare to you ^(B)the whole counsel of God.

Signs of an Apostle

¹¹ I have become ^(A)a fool ^[a]in boasting; you have compelled me. For I ought to have been commended by you; for ^(B)in nothing was I behind the most eminent apostles, though ^(C)I am nothing.

⁴⁵ But when the Jews saw the multitudes, they were filled with envy; and contradicting and blaspheming, they ^(A)opposed the things spoken by Paul. ⁴⁶ Then Paul and Barnabas grew bold and said, ^(B)“It was necessary that the word of God should be spoken to you first; but ^(C)since you reject it, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, behold, ^(D)we turn to the Gentiles. ⁴⁷ For so the Lord has commanded us:
