Sparing the Church

¹⁵ And in this confidence ^(A)I intended to come to you before, that you might have ^(B)a second benefit—

^19 (A)But I will come to you shortly, ^(B)if the Lord wills, and I will know, not the word of those who are puffed up, but the power.

¹¹ For I long to see you, that ^(A)I may impart to you some spiritual gift, so that you may be established—

^29 (A)But I know that when I come to you, I shall come in the fullness of the blessing ^[a]of the gospel of Christ.

²⁵ And being confident of this, I know that I shall remain and continue with you all for your progress and joy of faith, ²⁶ that ^(A)your rejoicing for me may be more abundant in Jesus Christ by my coming to you again.

6 We then, as ^(A)workers together with Him also ^(B)plead with you not to receive the grace of God in vain.

³⁴ But if anyone is hungry, let him eat at home, lest you come together for judgment. And the rest I will set in order when I come.
