¹⁴ if my people who are called by my name ^(A)humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

^9 (A)Be wretched and mourn and weep. Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. ^10 (B)Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you.

³⁷ yet if they turn their heart in the land to which they have been carried captive, and repent and plead with you in the land of their captivity, saying, ‘We have sinned and have acted perversely and wickedly,’ ³⁸ if they repent with all their heart and with all their soul in the land of their captivity to which they were carried captive, and pray toward their land, which you gave to their fathers, the city that you have chosen and the house that I have built for your name, ³⁹ then hear from heaven your dwelling place their prayer and their pleas, and maintain their cause and forgive your people who have sinned against you.

^6 (A)Behold, I will bring to it health and healing, and I will heal them and reveal to them abundance of prosperity and security.

^29 (A)But from there you will seek the Lord your God and you will find him, if you search after him with all your heart and with all your soul. ³⁰ When you are in tribulation, and all these things come upon you ^(B)in the latter days, you will return to the Lord your God and obey his voice.

¹² And when he was in distress, he entreated the favor of the Lord his God ^(A)and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers. ¹³ He prayed to him, and ^(B)God was moved by his entreaty and heard his plea and brought him again to Jerusalem into his kingdom. ^(C)Then Manasseh knew that the Lord was God.

^27 (A)then hear in heaven and forgive the sin of your servants, your people Israel, when you teach them the good way^[a] in which they should walk, and grant rain upon your land, which you have given to your people as an inheritance.
