²⁷ because your heart was tender and you humbled yourself before God when you heard his words against this place and its inhabitants, and you have humbled yourself before me and have torn your clothes and wept before me, I also have heard you, declares the Lord.

²⁶ But Hezekiah ^(A)humbled himself for the pride of his heart, both he and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so that the wrath of the Lord did not come upon them in the days of Hezekiah.

⁴ And the Lord said to him, “Pass through the city, through Jerusalem, and ^(A)put a mark on the foreheads of the men who ^(B)sigh and groan over all the abominations that are committed in it.”
