¹⁰ And Azariah the chief priest, from the ^(A)house of Zadok, answered him and said, ^(B)“Since the people began to bring the offerings into the house of the Lord, we have had enough to eat and have plenty left, for the Lord has blessed His people; and what is left is this great ^(C)abundance.”

^8 (A)Ahitub begot ^(B)Zadok, and Zadok begot Ahimaaz;

⁸ For ^(A)bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable for all things, ^(B)having promise of the life that now is and of that which is to come.

¹⁸ Indeed I ^[a]have all and abound. I am full, having received from ^(A)Epaphroditus the things sent from you, ^(B)a sweet-smelling aroma, ^(C)an acceptable sacrifice, well pleasing to God.

^8 (A)And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work. ⁹ As it is written:

¹⁰ Now ^[a]may He who ^(C)supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, ^[b]supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your ^(D)righteousness, ¹¹ while you are enriched in everything for all liberality, ^(E)which causes thanksgiving through us to God.

³⁷ So they all ate and were filled, and they took up seven large baskets full of the fragments that were left.

¹⁸ ‘Consider now from this day forward, from the twenty-fourth day of the ninth month, from ^(A)the day that the foundation of the Lord’s temple was laid—consider it:

^15 (A)“But the priests, the Levites, ^(B)the sons of Zadok, who kept charge of My sanctuary ^(C)when the children of Israel went astray from Me, they shall come near Me to minister to Me; and they ^(D)shall stand before Me to offer to Me the ^(E)fat and the blood,” says the Lord God.
