⁷ The king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, “There is still one other by whom we may inquire of the Lord, Micaiah son of Imlah, but I hate him, for he never prophesies anything favorable about me but only disaster.” Jehoshaphat said, “Let the king not say such a thing.”^(A)

²² “Blessed are you when people hate you and when they exclude you, revile you, and defame you^[a] on account of the Son of Man.^(A)

²⁰ Ahab said to Elijah, “Have you found me, O my enemy?” He answered, “I have found you. Because you have sold yourself to do what is evil in the sight of the Lord,^(A)

¹⁷ When Ahab saw Elijah, Ahab said to him, “Is it you, you troubler of Israel?”^(A)

¹⁶ Have I now become your enemy by telling you the truth?

²⁶ Therefore I declare to you this day that I am not responsible for the blood of any of you,^{(A) 27} for I did not shrink from declaring to you the whole purpose of God.^(B)

²⁴ If I had not done among them the works that no one else did, they would not have sin. But now they have seen and hated both me and my Father.^(A)
