⁹ The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise,^(A) as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient^(B) with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.^(C)

Sin, Confession and Redemption

¹⁷ Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message,^(A) and the message is heard through the word about Christ.^(B)

²⁰ Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened^(A) in his faith and gave glory to God,^{(B) 21} being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised.^(C)

²² “Have faith in God,” Jesus answered. ²³ “Truly^[a] I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them.^{(A) 24} Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.^(B)
