2 Thessalonians 2:6-17

⁶ And you know ^(A)what restrains him now, so that he will be revealed in his time. ⁷ For ^(B)the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only ^[a](C)He who now restrains will do so until ^[b]He is ^[c]removed. ⁸ Then that lawless one ^(D)will be revealed, whom the Lord will eliminate ^(E)with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the ^(F)appearance of His ^[d]coming; ⁹ that is, the one whose ^[e]coming is in accord with the activity of ^(G)Satan, with all power and false ^[f](H)signs and wonders, ¹⁰ and with ^[g]all the deception of wickedness for ^(I)those who perish, because they did not accept the love of ^(J)the truth so as to be saved. ¹¹ For this reason ^(K)God ^[h]will send upon them ^[i]a ^(L)deluding influence so that they will believe ^[j]what is false, ¹² in order that they all may be ^[k]judged who ^(M)did not believe the truth, but ^[l](N)took pleasure in wickedness.

Stand Firm

^13 (O)But we should always give thanks to God for you, ^(P)brothers and sisters beloved by the Lord, because ^(Q)God has chosen you ^[m]from the beginning ^(R)for salvation ^[n](S)through sanctification ^[o]by the Spirit and faith in the truth. ¹⁴ It was for this He ^(T)called you through ^(U)our gospel, ^[p]that you may obtain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. ¹⁵ So then, brothers and sisters, ^(V)stand firm and ^(W)hold on to the traditions which you were taught, whether ^(X)by word of mouth or ^(Y)by letter ^[q]from us.

^16 (Z)Now may our Lord Jesus Christ ^(AA)Himself and God our Father, who has ^(AB)loved us and given us eternal comfort and ^(AC)good hope by grace, ^17 (AD)comfort and ^(AE)strengthen your hearts in every good work and word.
