The Voice
14 David and his men were weary when they at last arrived at the Jordan River, and there they stopped to rest.
15 Meanwhile Absalom and all his people, the men of Israel, came into Jerusalem; and Ahithophel was with him. 16 When Hushai the Archite, David’s friend, came to Absalom, he saluted Absalom.
Hushai: Long live the king! Long live the king!

14 The king and all the people with him arrived at their destination exhausted.(A) And there he refreshed himself.
The Advice of Ahithophel and Hushai
15 Meanwhile, Absalom(B) and all the men of Israel came to Jerusalem, and Ahithophel(C) was with him. 16 Then Hushai(D) the Arkite, David’s confidant, went to Absalom and said to him, “Long live the king! Long live the king!”
