^13 (A)David said to Nathan, ^(B)“I have sinned against the Lord.” And Nathan said to David, ^(C)“The Lord also has put away your sin; you shall not die.

²¹ And the son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you. ^(A)I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’^{[a] 22} But the father said to his servants,^[b] ‘Bring quickly ^(B)the best robe, and put it on him, and put ^(C)a ring on his hand, and ^(D)shoes on his feet. ²³ And bring ^(E)the fattened calf and kill it, and ^(F)let us eat and celebrate. ²⁴ For this my son ^(G)was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found.’ And they began to celebrate.

^9 (A)If we confess our sins, he is ^(B)faithful and just to forgive us our sins and ^(C)to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
