11 (A)Then the king of Assyria carried Israel away captive to Assyria, and put them (B)in Halah and by the Habor, the River of Gozan, and in the cities of the Medes, 12 because they (C)did not obey the voice of the Lord their God, but transgressed His covenant and all that Moses the servant of the Lord had commanded; and they would neither hear nor do them.

11 The king(A) of Assyria deported Israel to Assyria and settled them in Halah, in Gozan on the Habor River and in towns of the Medes.(B) 12 This happened because they had not obeyed the Lord their God, but had violated his covenant(C)—all that Moses the servant of the Lord commanded.(D) They neither listened to the commands(E) nor carried them out.
