⁸So they answered him, ^(A)“A hairy man wearing a leather belt around his waist.”

And he said, ^(B)“It is Elijah the Tishbite.”

⁸They replied, “He had a garment of hair^[a]^(A) and had a leather belt around his waist.”

The king said, “That was Elijah the Tishbite.”

⁴Now ^(A)John himself was clothed in camel’s hair, with a leather belt around his waist; and his food was ^(B)locusts and ^(C)wild honey.

⁴John’s^(A) clothes were made of camel’s hair, and he had a leather belt around his waist.^(B) His food was locusts^(C) and wild honey.
