³ This is good, and pleases^(A) God our Savior,^{(B) 4} who wants^(C) all people^(D) to be saved^(E) and to come to a knowledge of the truth.^{(F) 5} For there is one God^(G) and one mediator^(H) between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus,^{(I) 6} who gave himself as a ransom^(J) for all people. This has now been witnessed to^(K) at the proper time.^(L)

¹¹ For the grace^(A) of God has appeared^(B) that offers salvation to all people.^(C)

⁹ The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise,^(A) as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient^(B) with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.^(C)

² He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins,^(A) and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.^(B)
