⁸ Now David ^(A)and his men went up and made raids against ^(B)the Geshurites, ^(C)the Girzites, and ^(D)the Amalekites, for these were the inhabitants of the land from of old, ^(E)as far as Shur, to the land of Egypt.

⁷ The angel of the Lord found her by a spring of water in the wilderness, the spring on the way to ^(A)Shur.

Bitter Water Made Sweet

²² Then Moses made Israel set out from the Red Sea, and they went into the wilderness of ^(A)Shur. They went three days in the wilderness and found no water.
