⁸ He raises the poor from the dust^(A)
and lifts the needy from the garbage pile.^(B)
He seats them with noblemen^(C)
and gives them a throne of honor.^[a]
For the foundations of the earth are the Lord’s;^(D)
He has set the world on them.^(E)

⁴¹ But He lifts the needy out of their suffering^(A)
and makes their families multiply like flocks.^(B)
