¹⁷ David fought^(A) them from dusk until the evening of the next day, and none of them got away, except four hundred young men who rode off on camels and fled.^(B)

¹¹ The next day Saul separated his men into three divisions;^(A) during the last watch of the night they broke into the camp of the Ammonites^(B) and slaughtered them until the heat of the day. Those who survived were scattered, so that no two of them were left together.

²⁹ For seven days they camped opposite each other, and on the seventh day the battle was joined. The Israelites inflicted a hundred thousand casualties on the Aramean foot soldiers in one day. ³⁰ The rest of them escaped to the city of Aphek,^(A) where the wall collapsed^(B) on twenty-seven thousand of them. And Ben-Hadad fled to the city and hid^(C) in an inner room.

³ Now go, attack the Amalekites and totally^(A) destroy^[a] all that belongs to them. Do not spare them; put to death men and women, children and infants, cattle and sheep, camels and donkeys.’”

¹⁶ Barak pursued the chariots and army as far as Harosheth Haggoyim, and all Sisera’s troops fell by the sword; not a man was left.^(A)
