²⁵ Then Saul said to David, “May you be blessed, my son David! You shall both do great things and also still ^(A)prevail.”

So David went on his way, and Saul returned to his place.

²² So David swore to Saul. And Saul went home, but David and his men went up to ^(A)the stronghold.

¹⁹ For if a man finds his enemy, will he let him get away safely? Therefore may the Lord reward you with good for what you have done to me this day.

¹⁰ Then Balak’s anger was aroused against Balaam, and he ^(C)struck his hands together; and Balak said to Balaam, ^(D)“I called you to curse my enemies, and look, you have bountifully blessed them these three times!

²⁸ And He said, ^(A)“Your name shall no longer be called Jacob, but ^[a]Israel; for you have ^(B)struggled with God and ^(C)with men, and have prevailed.”

^37 (A)Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.

³⁵ Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
