⁴ When the messengers came to Gibeah of Saul, they reported the matter in the hearing of the people, and all the people wept aloud.^(A)

²⁶ Saul also went to his home at Gibeah, and with him went warriors whose hearts God had touched.^(A)

⁴ When the angel of the Lord spoke these words to all the Israelites, the people lifted up their voices and wept.

⁴ Then David and the people who were with him raised their voices and wept until they had no more strength to weep.

³⁴ Then Samuel went to Ramah, and Saul went up to his house in Gibeah of Saul.^(A)

² And the people came to Bethel and sat there until evening before God, and they lifted up their voices and wept bitterly.^(A)

³ Remember those who are in prison, as though you were in prison with them, those who are being tortured, as though you yourselves were being tortured.^[a]

² Bear one another’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill^[a] the law of Christ.^(A)

²⁶ If one member suffers, all suffer together with it; if one member is honored, all rejoice together with it.

¹⁵ Rejoice with those who rejoice; weep with those who weep.
