¹³ But rejoice ^(A)insofar as you share Christ's sufferings, that you may also rejoice and be glad ^(B)when his glory is revealed.

¹⁷ and if children, then ^(A)heirs—heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, ^(B)provided we suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him.

Testing of Your Faith

^2 (A)Count it all joy, my brothers,^[a] when you meet trials ^(B)of various kinds, ³ for you know that ^(C)the testing of your faith ^(D)produces steadfastness.

³ Not only that, but we ^(A)rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering ^(B)produces endurance,

^10 (A)that I may know him and ^(B)the power of his resurrection, and ^(C)may share his sufferings, becoming like him in his death,

⁷ Our hope for you is unshaken, for we know that as you ^(A)share in our sufferings, you will also share in our comfort.

^10 (A)always carrying in the body the death of Jesus, ^(B)so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our bodies.

¹⁰ And ^(A)after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, ^(B)who has called you to his ^(C)eternal glory in Christ, will himself ^(D)restore, ^(E)confirm, strengthen, and establish you.

⁵ who by God's power are being guarded ^(A)through faith for a salvation ^(B)ready to be revealed in the last time. ⁶ In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by ^(C)various trials, ⁷ so that ^(D)the tested genuineness of your faith—more precious than gold that perishes ^(E)though it is tested by ^(F)fire—may be found to result in ^(G)praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ. ^8 (H)Though you have not seen him, you love him. ^(I)Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory,
