^5 (A)you yourselves like living stones are being built up as ^(B)a spiritual house, to be ^(C)a holy priesthood, ^(D)to offer spiritual sacrifices ^(E)acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

^20 (A)built on the foundation of the ^(B)apostles and prophets, ^(C)Christ Jesus himself being ^(D)the cornerstone, ^21 (E)in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into ^(F)a holy temple in the Lord. ²² In him ^(G)you also are being built together ^(H)into a dwelling place for God by^[a] the Spirit.

⁹ But you are ^(A)a chosen race, ^(B)a royal ^(C)priesthood, ^(D)a holy nation, ^(E)a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you ^(F)out of darkness into ^(G)his marvelous light.

⁹ For we are ^(A)God's fellow workers. You are God's field, ^(B)God's building.

^6 (A)Blessed and holy is the one who shares in the first resurrection! Over such ^(B)the second death has no power, but they will be ^(C)priests of God and of Christ, and they ^(D)will reign with him for a thousand years.

⁶ but Christ is faithful over God's house as ^(A)a son. And ^(B)we are his house, if indeed we ^(C)hold fast our confidence and our boasting in our hope.^[a]

¹⁸ I have received full payment, and more. I am well supplied, ^(A)having received from Epaphroditus the gifts you sent, ^(B)a fragrant offering, ^(C)a sacrifice acceptable and pleasing to God.
