³⁴ then hear in heaven and forgive the sin of your people Israel and bring them again to the land that you gave to their fathers.

² When they had finished eating the grass of the land, I said,

^25 (A)Know therefore and understand that ^(B)from the going out of the word to restore and ^(C)build Jerusalem to the coming of an ^(D)anointed one, a ^(E)prince, there shall be seven weeks. Then for sixty-two weeks it shall be built again^[a] with squares and moat, ^(F)but in a troubled time.

¹⁹ O Lord, hear; O Lord, forgive. O Lord, pay attention and act. ^(A)Delay not, ^(B)for your own sake, O my God, because ^(C)your city and ^(D)your people are called by your name.”

¹² He has confirmed his words, which he spoke against us and against ^(A)our rulers who ruled us,^[a] by ^(B)bringing upon us a great calamity. ^(C)For under the whole heaven there has not been done anything like what has been done against Jerusalem.

¹⁰ “Thus says the Lord: In this place ^(A)of which you say, ‘It is a waste without man or beast,’ in the cities of Judah and the streets of Jerusalem that are desolate, without man or inhabitant or beast, there shall be heard again ^11 (B)the voice of mirth and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the voices of those who sing, as they bring ^(C)thank offerings to the house of the Lord:

^(E)For I will restore the fortunes of the land as at first, says the Lord.

¹² “Thus says the Lord of hosts: ^(F)In this place that is waste, without man or beast, and in all of its cities, there shall again be ^(G)habitations of shepherds ^(H)resting their flocks. ^13 (I)In the cities of the hill country, ^(J)in the cities of the Shephelah, ^(K)and in the cities of the Negeb, in the land of Benjamin, ^(L)the places about Jerusalem, ^(M)and in the cities of Judah, ^(N)flocks shall again pass under the hands ^(O)of the one who counts them, says the Lord.

^37 (A)Behold, I will gather them from all the countries ^(B)to which I drove them in ^(C)my anger and my wrath and in great indignation. I will bring them back to this place, ^(D)and I will make them dwell in safety.

^27 (A)“Behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord, when ^(B)I will sow the house of Israel and the house of Judah with ^(C)the seed of man and the seed of beast.
