⁴⁸ Solomon also made all^(A) the furnishings that were in the Lord’s temple:

⁸ He made ten tables^(A) and placed them in the temple, five on the south side and five on the north. He also made a hundred gold sprinkling bowls.^(B)

The Table^(A)

¹⁰ They^[a] made the table^(B) of acacia wood—two cubits long, a cubit wide and a cubit and a half high.^{[b] 11} Then they overlaid it with pure gold^(C) and made a gold molding around it. ¹² They also made around it a rim a handbreadth^[c] wide and put a gold molding on the rim. ¹³ They cast four gold rings for the table and fastened them to the four corners, where the four legs were. ¹⁴ The rings^(D) were put close to the rim to hold the poles used in carrying the table. ¹⁵ The poles for carrying the table were made of acacia wood and were overlaid with gold. ¹⁶ And they made from pure gold the articles for the table—its plates and dishes and bowls and its pitchers for the pouring out of drink offerings.

²¹ You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons too; you cannot have a part in both the Lord’s table and the table of demons.^(A)

¹² “But you profane it by saying, ‘The Lord’s table^(A) is defiled,’ and, ‘Its food^(B) is contemptible.’

¹⁶ They alone are to enter my sanctuary; they alone are to come near my table^(A) to minister before me and serve me as guards.^(B)

²² There was a wooden altar^(A) three cubits^[a] high and two cubits square^[b]; its corners, its base^[c] and its sides were of wood. The man said to me, “This is the table^(B) that is before the Lord.”

⁴² There were also four tables of dressed stone^(A) for the burnt offerings, each a cubit and a half long, a cubit and a half wide and a cubit high.^[a] On them were placed the utensils for slaughtering the burnt offerings and the other sacrifices.^(B)

³⁹ In the portico of the gateway were two tables on each side, on which the burnt offerings,^(A) sin offerings^[a](B) and guilt offerings^(C) were slaughtered.^(D)
