²⁶ The woman whose son was alive was deeply moved^(A) out of love for her son and said to the king, “Please, my lord, give her the living baby! Don’t kill him!”

But the other said, “Neither I nor you shall have him. Cut him in two!”

¹⁷ If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them,^(A) how can the love of God be in that person?^(B)

³⁰ Deeply moved^(A) at the sight of his brother, Joseph hurried out and looked for a place to weep. He went into his private room and wept^(B) there.
